Immanuel Monthly E-News
The beginning of summertime marks the end of another academic year at Immanuel, and we annually celebrate the accomplishments of students, families, faculty, and staff. This year has been challenging in ways that were unimaginable just twenty months ago. The pandemic has been marked by obstacles and opportunities, tests and triumphs. As the school’s theme for the year reminded us, by making Jesus our foundation, we have weathered the storm. Growth, both academic and spiritual, occurred in unforeseen ways. As God’s people in this place, we have learned even more to trust in our Savior, to reach out to help others, and to rejoice when connections are strengthened.

This edition of Immanuel’s “Electronic Newsletter” shares some highlights from our classrooms, recognizes those whose faithful service at Immanuel is transitioning, and gives information on some exciting opportunities for fellowship in the summer months to come.

Immanuel Thanks These Retiring Servants For Their Ministries
We give God thanks for their ministry among us and pray for their continued blessings as they transition into new opportunities for service!

Celebrate the Fourth with Immanuel Friends!
On Sunday, July 4, from 6-8:30 p.m., Immanuel will gather at the Family Express Pavilion and environs at Valplayso Park to celebrate our country’s birthday! There will be a picnic and activities, and members are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to watch the after-dark fireworks (now shot off from near the Post Office).

For more information, or to volunteer to help, contact Kristen Kearney at kkearney@immanuelvalpo.org.
Chosen & Treasured: Family Nights at Immanuel in July
Get together with your Immanuel friends on Tuesdays in July for dinner, a movie, and fun for the whole family!

Banner in The Sanctuary
This description was written by Lois Prahlow, who created the banner when it was first used in 2014, the 150th anniversary of Immanuel. While we are now at 157 years, the theology and symbolism are still pertinent in 2021.

New "Little & Loved" Class
Do you have a little one between the ages of 15 months-3 years? If so, join other Immanuel families on Sunday mornings for "Little & Loved.”
