Bike Share Builds Health, Community

BikeLNK is Lincoln’s locally operated bike share program. Bike share allows users to access community-available bikes through short-term rentals and membership programs.

In 2022, BikeLNK supported over 35,000 rides in the capital city. Those trips traveled an estimated 87,000 miles, and riders collectively burned over 3.4 MILLION calories this year using BikeLNK rentals.

BikeLNK supported bike mobility and bike share education events throughout Lincoln in 2022 and also offered pedal-assist ebikes. Learn more about BikeLNK and the bike share program.

Flu - It's Not Too Late to Vaccinate
Getting a flu vaccine during 2022-2023 will be more important than ever. Due to masking, more people working from home, and remote schooling, the past 2 flu seasons have been remarkably light.

But with kids back in school, employees returning to the workplace, and most mask restrictions lifted, this flu season is expected to be severe. It'd not too late to get vaccinated against the flu and COVID. Learn more about the flu, flu vaccines, flu myths, and flu shot locations on our web site.

Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving and protecting the health, wellness, and fitness of Lincoln's children, families, and seniors.

We work to improve wellness policies and conduct community level health research. We collaborate with community partners to promote healthy weights through good nutrition and fitness, improve child and maternal health by supporting breastfeeding, create better patient outcomes by increasing cancer screening and vaccination rates, improving chronic disease management, increasing preventative outreach, and standardizing clinical practices. During public health crises like the COVID 19 pandemic, we help to protect community health by providing science and evidence-based information.
Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln also works to improve health equity in our community, addressing disparities among racial and ethnic populations with the highest burden of chronic disease.  Systemic racism is also a threat to community health. We stand in solidarity with everyone who is fighting for greater equality and justice for all.
