Week of Giving & Hawk Fund Update

The Week of Giving Campaign supports our Hawk Annual Fund, which runs from July 1st - June 30th every year. Our goal is 100% family participation; this year, we achieved 38% participation. We are very grateful to the families that have donated; our running total of raised funds is $21,825. Every gift matters as we work toward the common goal of the enrichment of every student that walks into the doors of Weddington Chrisitan Academy. We will continue to collect donations and accept matching gifts. During this first week of Advent, our "Hope" is that you will prayerfully consider making your gift to the Hawk Fund so that we can achieve our goal of 100% family participation. Hebrews 10:23 " Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." 

On Thursday, December 8th, WCA students will celebrate the J.O.Y (Jesus. Others. You) of Christmas during school! Students may wear Christmas-themed clothing to help get them in the holiday spirit. They will enjoy a morning Bible devotional, several creative STEAM projects, and a Christmas-in-a-bag reindeer lunch from Chef Bob. WCA Middle schoolers will visit classrooms to read a Christmas story to the younger students, and all classes will get to visit the STARBOOKS hot chocolate station for some holiday sip n' read time.

Coffee & Carols

Friday, December 16

Parents and grandparents, stop by the gym for a morning cup of coffee and listen to some beautiful Christmas carols performed by WCA students. Students will stay with their class during this event since many grades will have parties and activities that afternoon (please see your teacher's newsletter for class information).

Game Day Mission Projects 

We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, especially on game days! Help our Hawks shine on and off the field by donating at our two special upcoming home games. You will get into the game for FREE and help our athletes spread the love of Christ this holiday season!
