The Power of Peer-to-Peer
by Dave White, Executive Director
Famed leadership scholar Warren Bennis is quoted as having said, "[s]uccess in management requires learning as fast as the world is changing." Given the forces impacting the public power industry, it can often seem nearly impossible to keep up with the pace of change. All the more reason, then, to rely on the insights and experience of your peers to bolster your own success as a manager.
For years, Vistage International has offered executive leaders the opportunity to invest in themselves and their companies through participation in a vibrant, collaborative community of peers committed to helping one another achieve ongoing growth and success. Today, NEPPA is partnering with Vistage to foster that same opportunity for public power managers throughout the northeast. Through facilitated discussions, one-on-one coaching, and a vast library of online resources, you will have everything you need to learn as fast as the world is changing.

Energy assistance information
available from Belmont Light
|
(Belmont, MA) - This year's cold start to the winter season may have some Belmont residents needing assistance to help them pay their heating bills and keep their homes warm. To help customers concerned about their home heating bills, Belmont Light has produced a brochure that outlines available energy assistance programs and services.
The brochure provides information about programs that are available, including fuel assistance and weatherization programs for low-income residents, as well as the Good Neighbor Energy Fund for those in temporary crisis. Income eligibility guidelines, application information, and pertinent telephone numbers and website addresses for these programs are listed.
The brochure also provides information about local programs like the Metro Housing Boston (formerly Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership), a housing resource agency; the Belmont Light Rate Change Program for income-eligible customers; and the Belmont Light energy conservation and ENERGY STAR appliance programs, which are both available to residential customers, regardless of income.
"Whether you heat your home with oil, natural gas or electricity, Belmont Light realizes that some people may need additional help paying heating bills, especially in light of the extended cold snap that occurred in December and January," Craig Spinale, Acting General Manager said. "This brochure has been prepared to help customers identify which resources may be available in 2018, and if they qualify for federal, state or local assistance."
Belmont Light customers can obtain the brochure at the 40 Prince Street office in Belmont or by calling 617-998-2800. The information is also available on the Belmont Light website at
www.belmontlight.com.
