Mobile Website Problems
Caring Palms has been having trouble with its mobile website, and really do not know how long it has been going on. Anyone going to the mobile site (which they are directed to if they are using a phone or small tablet) has been redirected to “getmylanding.site”. According to several Google searches it appears that this might be malicious in nature, or spam at the very least. This is not something Caring Palms did even by accident, but happened to the files existing on the hosting servers (the place where they exist on the web).
We are currently working with / yelling at the technical support people (some of which do not want to do their jobs) to get this resolved. Things are getting better, but it has not completely fixed.
Since these files hardly ever change, they are not checked regularly. This could have been going on for months and may be a contributing factor with the decline in business.
If you go to Caring Palms on a mobile device, you may find it say that the site does not exist, or that it says it needs to be upgraded in some way. Please just go to a tablet or computer to access the full site.
Hopefully, this will be settled soon.

Taking The Next Step

When you go up a flight of stairs, do you stop halfway? If you’re older and out of shape, maybe. But for the most part you continue your climb. As you put your foot on the next step, you shift your weight and take your other foot off the previous step, letting go of its support. It is a motion along a path.
But so is life. As we grow, we move from phases to newer phases. And in each case, we need to release the previous phase to completely embrace the next.
Lately the term “second act” has been popping up a lot. It is talking about someone’s next phase in life, the next thing they will be doing. And this could be full phases and partial phases.
And what is the impetus for taking that next step? Is it the desire to grow? Is it being forced to move out of one spot to another, one job to another? Is it losing something to force you to gain something new? Or is it just a desire to shoot for the stars knowing you will land safe somewhere?
I remember living in Maryland 27 years ago. The company I worked as a computer programmer for went out of business. My wife’s company moved down here to Jacksonville. It was like we were being forced to move out of the home we lived in for 13 years. So, we moved away from friends and family.
But this was a good move as it gave me access and impetus to get training in many things from massage, to Reiki, to other energy work, to mediumship. So this was a good beginning.
My second act came when I was laid off from my job as a programmer. The universe said it was time to start using these things I’d been learning. So my second act has been as a healer.
In each case, the moves were forced, yet accepted fully. But what if the decision is yours? How long does it take to actually take the full step? How long do you hold onto the past, still not fully taking the step?
These are things to think about. When you take the next step, you need to fully release the previous one. Don’t get stalled in the middle with indecision. Step boldly, step firmly.

Caring Palms schedules Reiki classes throughout the year. We are currently holding these classes at the studio because we have not been getting enough students to cover the rising cost of conference room rentals. We are also limiting the class size to 2 students (Reiki 1 and Reiki 3, with a few more allowed for Reiki 2 as we only need one table for that).
The following is a list of currently scheduled Reiki Classes. Each class requires a minimum of two (2) students to happen.
Classes can be scheduled any day (Tuesday thru Saturday) provided there are no other appointments scheduled.
If you are interested in taking a class, and one is not listed, please call and one can be scheduled.
You may sign up for any of these through the website, or over the phone with a credit card.
Reiki 1
Reiki 2
- Saturday February 24th , 10am - 5(ish)pm
Reiki 3
- Saturday March 23rd , 10am - 5(ish)pm
Reiki 4
- Saturday April 27th , 10am - 5(ish)pm
More classes will be added based on how the ones currently on the schedule go.
All classes are open to anyone wanting to learn this unique method of hands-on healing. The cost for each class is $150 no matter what level of Reiki the class is for. A $75 deposit is required a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the class date (or permission of the instructor) to reserve a space in the class. Full payment must be received two (2) days before the class date. Classes with no deposits received by the cut off date will be canceled. All class statuses may be viewed under Reiki, Reiki Class Information, and Class Schedule. You can also sign up for classes there. (Check the website for the location.)
Reiki 1, 2, and 3 classes are Florida Board of Massage Approved for six (6) Continuing Education Hours (CEUs)

If you have enjoyed the services at Caring Palms, whether that be massage, Reiki, or classes, or something else, please leave a review on one of the review sites like Google, Facebook, or any of the many places that take reviews. Note: We are asking people not to post on Yelp unless you are a person that posts there regularly. Yelp has some qualifying software that looks at each review, and if you are a regular poster, your comment is deemed "Relevant", otherwise your comment is marked "Not Relevant". While Caring Palms has 20 5-star reviews on Yelp, only seven of them are deemed "Relevant", and one has to go through another step to see the remaining 13.

Brian is now doing readings to anyone that wants to sit for one for $50 for up to one hour. Keep in mind, these are mediumship readings, not psychic readings.
