Security Health Plan to add Medicaid SSI for 2022
By LISA PRUST, Provider Relations Account Manager
Security Health Plan is pleased to announce that it will be adding Medicaid SSI (Supplemental Security Income) to its product portfolio effective Jan. 1, 2022, in select counties. SSI plans provide coverage to help manage day-to-day health care needs for members who meet these three criteria:
  1.  Age 65 or older, blind or disabled
  2. Family income at or below the monthly program limit
  3. United States citizens or legal immigrants
Members must reside in one of the following 12 counties to be eligible: Barron, Chippewa, Clark, Eau Claire, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Portage, Price, Rusk, Taylor or Wood. This service area aligns with the Security Health Plan Ally Rx Dual-Eligible Special Needs Program (D-SNP) for members who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid.

Adding Medicaid SSI will allow Security to coordinate care more effectively for these vulnerable members and to ensure their complex care needs are met. SSI members will receive the same great service as our current Medicaid members.

Help patients find you
  • Has your practice moved?
  • Have you changed the name or ownership of your practice?
  • Do all of your providers accept new patients?
  • Is anyone seeing patients in a new or different location?
  • Has anyone left your practice or been replaced in the last year?
Help patients find you by keeping information about your practice current with Security Health Plan.

Security Health Plan’s online provider directory is the primary provider search tool we offer our members. Members use the “Find a Doctor” directory to search for providers who can fill their specific care needs, whether they’re looking for a primary care provider who sees children, a specialist with privileges at a specific hospital, or an affiliated nursing home near their aging parents.
