Eastern Oklahoma Library System to Commemorate Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial with Program and Displays - The Eastern Oklahoma Library System is offering a virtual program with speaker Jimmie White, highlighting the buildup and sequence of events in the Tulsa Race Massacre, on its Centennial anniversary. Originally recorded on February 25, 2021, EOLS special re-presentation will premiere on Facebook Live, Monday, May 31 at 7 pm. Additionally, many EOLS branches are featuring a traveling display on the Tulsa Race Massacre, which is on loan from the Tulsa Historical Society. Grove Public Library and Delaware County Library will be presenting this display from April 29, 2021 - May 13, 2021 during open hours. Please call your local EOLS branch or visit www.eols.org for more information, or for assistance with books or other information about the Centennial.

Saturday May 8, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., 1800’s Themed Ladies Tea Party in the Event Tent. Tickets are $30 per person and available online. Only 60 seats, limited availability. Tea party will include tea, scones, macrons, etc. Guests will learn about the history of tea parties and make a Rag Doll to take home. 

Saturday May 8, noon - 4 p.m., Identifying Aging Handwoven Coverlets Workshop. Students learn about the beauty and history of handwoven antique coverlets by Coverlet Historian Gina Levesque. Students are encouraged to bring their own coverlets if they want more information about their piece. Price is $45 per person, class limit 12.

May 14 and 15 - Spring Gardening Festival - Friday the 14th is homeschool educational day, and Saturday the 15th is Festival Day. GRDA will be onsite to with a Rainfall simulator, and will have give away items. Master Gardener Beverly Helms will be onsite to discuss tree pruning, soil testing, and tomatoes. Numerous other happenings! Vendors will be onsite for you to buy fresh produce. ST. ANDREW'S DAY CARE & SCHOOL
St. Andrew's Day Care & School is now accepting applications for children ages infant to 5 years old. They employ only Master Teachers and are approved for Tribal and DHS subsidies. Ribbon Cuttings
The Grove Area Chamber of Commerce gathered at Arby's at 1802 S. Main on Thursday, April 29 for a ribbon cutting.
Arby's in Grove has just undergone a complete remodel and have inside dining available once again in their beautiful new lobby. Arby’s, founded in 1964, is the second-largest sandwich restaurant brand in the world with more than 3,500 restaurants in nine countries. Arby's in Grove is open from 10 a.m. - 10:30 p.m., seven days a week with the lobby closing at 8 p.m. each evening. They currently employ 30.

Cutting the ribbon was Arby's Manager Josh Nolte with crew members Christian Brown, Shanna Heyz, Carly Akers, Brent Hawkins, Trey Harrington, Sonny Thomas, and Jubilee Medina. Also in attendance were Donnie Crain, president of Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and Tammy Taylor, FirsTitle & Smith Brothers Abstract.
A ribbon cutting was held for new Grove Business, Harper's Mobile RV Repair & Detail, located at 8912 US Hwy 59 in Grove. Recently relocated to Grove and owned by Gary Harper, they offer three certified techs and one master certified tech. They can do any type of repair or remodel. You can bring your RV either to the shop or they can come to you. If you are not able to bring it to the shop and would like to, they are able to move it for you. Harper's also offers a great detailing crew for any wash or wax. Call them for an appointment at (918) 863-7795.
