Covid-19 Vaccine Information
The Covid-19 vaccine is administered to priority populations in phases. Alameda County is currently vaccinating Phase 1a: Health Care and Outreach Workers and Phase 1b: 65+, Education and Child Care, Emergency Services (including Law Enforcement), and Food/Agriculture.
It’s important to know that vaccine supply remains limited and it will take a while to vaccinate everyone in the current phases.

AC Transit Offering Fare-Free Shuttles to Oakland Coliseum Vaccination Site
AC Transit is now providing fare-free bus service directly into the Coliseum to make the vaccination site more accessible. Riders must show proof of vaccination appointment upon boarding the bus. All pick up and drop off locations are fully accessible and ADA-compliant. Click here for detailed shuttle route information.

BART Offers Free Ride Home for those Vaccinated at the Coliseum site
BART is supporting the large-scale, appointments-only, Covid-19 vaccinations at the Oakland Coliseum and for a limited time will offer a free BART ride home for those who have been vaccinated at the site.
BART will have extra staff at the Coliseum BART station during BART operating hours to provide anyone who has received a vaccine a free $7 BART ticket on-site after showing their vaccination card with a matching date. Appointments are available through the state’s MyTurn scheduling system or by calling 1-833-422-4255. Only those with an appointment can enter the site.

Welcome to Our New Board Member
Dr. Stephanie Rosso is a clinical psychologist who has specialized for over 20 years in treating children and families who have experienced trauma and have come from neighborhoods that have known poverty, violence, and lack of opportunity and resources. She has been an advocate for social justice, supporting families in getting access to the educational supports and resources that they need to thrive. When not working, she loves travel, photography, exploring foods from different cultures and dressing her cats in booties!

The successful candidate will ensure seamless team management and development, program design and evaluation. PG&E Medical Baseline Program
PG&E's Medical Baseline Program, also known as Medical Baseline Allowance, is an assistance program for residential customers who depend on power for certain medical and independent living needs. The program includes two different kinds of help:
1.) A lower rate on your monthly energy bill
2.) Extra notifications in advance of a Public Safety Power Shutoff

Each February 11 we celebrate "211 Day" and the work of our 211 Phone Resource Specialists. This year, we are honored to have one of our staff members featured on the National 211.org website that launced on 211 Day. Stanford’s Anesthesia's Division of Global Health Equity also featured a few 211 team members on its Black History Month Twitter campaign this February 11.

211 Reentry Resource Portal
The Alameda County Probation Department's Reentry Resource Portal, which is hosted within the 211 information system, can be found on our website at reentry.211alamedacounty.org, and aggregates useful information to help people with reentry. We are happy to share this portal for justice-involved citizens to explore and find supportive resources for preventive and rehabilitative services.

An Oakland woman called in distress due to a domestic violence situation. She requested shelter, and stated she was safe during the call and did not want staff to dial 911.
The woman was given referrals to A Safe Place, a domestic violence shelter, and the 24-Hour Mobile Response Team.

AHIP (AIDS Housing Information Project)
|
|
AHIP (AIDS Housing Information Project) offers housing and human services resource referrals to People Living with HIV/AIDS via a designated phone line and through one-on-one, in-person assistance at clinics and AIDS Service Organizations.
In January AHIP completed 224 calls and 2 face-to-face meetings with clients, provided 619 housing referrals and 189 referrals to services. 2 site visits were also conducted in January. Since July 1, 2020, AHIP has provided assistance to 244 unduplicated clients.
