Science Fair

Some of our Greater Essex County District School Board students presented a variety of projects at the Maryvale science fair open house. These demonstrations and experiments were incredibly informative and well presented by our students - great job everyone!

TAG (Teen Activity Group)

During the pandemic, Maryvale made it a priority to provide opportunities for youth to connect in a fun and meaningful way. We facilitated a virtual activity group where youth were invited to meet over zoom and participate in a variety of activities such as: movie nights with treats, paint nights led by Art Splash, virtual escape rooms, game nights, and even a magic show. TAG has evolved to in-person activities with regular outings into the community where youth are able to engage with their peers in a safe and healthy manner. Activities include bowling, painting, games, movies, and more! The paintings pictured were created by our youth during an outing to Art Splash at the end of 2023.

PARENT POWER

Tips for Parents of Teenagers

When your child/teen wants to show you something, stop what you are doing and pay attention to your child/teen. It is important to spend frequent, small amounts of time with your child/teen doing things that you both enjoy. Quality is more important than time.

Need more parenting strategies? Use our call-in service below.
