Dear Friends,
Happy Monday, St. Joes. I hope you thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weekend weather. We began this new week celebrating Pentecost Sunday, the “Birthday of the Church,” observed on the 50th day of Easter, the seventh Sunday after Easter.
Spirit Week concluded on Friday afternoon with an exuberant grade-level Color Wars Assembly on the upper turf field. Each grade-level was exceptionally enthusiastic, however, the Seniors represented with great pride and were recognized as the most Spirited Class. Congratulations and well done, Class of 2021!
That impressive Class Spirit victory on Friday afternoon serves as a great “kick off” for Senior Spirit Week beginning today and concluding on Wednesday afternoon with their “Last Bell” at St. Joes – a cherished and emotional Senior Class tradition. Last Bell signifies the beginning of a heartfelt goodbye as seniors celebrate their momentous events, thoughtfully and lovingly planned by Colleen Piatak and Maureen Anderson, before their official Graduation on Saturday, June 5. It is with sincere admiration that we spend our last weeks of this school year celebrating the legacy of the Class of 2021.
In closing, I will continue to include your family in my daily prayers and intentions. May you have a joyous week ahead.
In Faith and fellowship,
David J. Klein
President

A Note on Mask Mandates
Dear Parents & Students:
This is a reminder that masks must be worn in school and at school events.
Although the CDC has recently issued statements easing the restrictions of vaccinated individuals wearing masks indoors, all schools still have the requirement of mask-wearing in the state of Connecticut. We thank you for your understanding.

|
We kicked off FCIAC playdowns last Friday and are so proud of all our student athletes! This has been an incredible season.
Top seeded Softball played Harding at home and won 14-0 in the first round! They will be playing Danbury at home on Monday in the quarterfinals.
Girls LAX made FCIACs as an 8 seed, they’re playing at New Canaan, who’s the #1 seed, on Monday at 7:30pm.

A Note Regarding Upcoming Events
All those who choose to participate in SJ in-person events should understand that there remains a consistent risk of COVID-19 exposure.
If a member of our community tests positive for Covid-19, those within 6 feet of that individual for longer than 15 minutes must undergo a mandatory quarantine for 10 days, without exception. We ask for your continued adherence to CDC and SJ guidelines and your partnership as students elect which events to attend throughout the remainder of the school year. Thank you.
