TRANSPORTATION + PLANNING
Celebrate National Bike Month by becoming a Bicycle Friendly Business...And participate in the Love To Ride program
Join Westshore businesses like AECOM, Atkins, Cigar City Brewing, McKibbon Hospitality, and Tampa International Airport as Bicycle Friendly Businesses this summer. The next application deadline is June 10. We need you to sign up to keep Tampa as the top city for Bicycle Friendly Businesses.

We will work with you on your application and secure new bike racks for your business, just like the new bike parking seen here at MetWest / Atkins. Your responsibility is to set up a time for a call to talk to your employees about bike and road safety, and bolt down the bike racks. Westshore is becoming a regional bike hub with the Courtney Campbell Trail and future projects on the Howard Frankland Bridge, Grady Avenue, and Gray Street. But our businesses can help make the District more pedestrian friendly by supporting bicycle programs to benefit customers and employees. For more information, email us.
Now that we have all these plans for bike routes in Westshore, you should get on your bike and join us in the Love To Ride program. This is a national program supported locally by the Alliance and the members of Bike Walk Tampa Bay. Participants and businesses can log their rides to earn prizes based on company size and participation. If it is getting too hot for you outside, you can still log your miles earned on your exercise bike. Sign up at the Love To Ride Tampa Bay website to start counting your miles on May 1.
ICYMI - Westshore Alliance joined the Tampa Bay Partnership, Tampa Bay Chamber and St. Petersburg Chamber to pen a guest column for the Tampa Bay Times regarding the importance of funding for the Westshore Interchange. The reconstruction of this interchange has long been a top priority for Westshore. Read it here.
