Hearthside's 2022 Classic Outdoor Movies continues with Alfred Hitchcock's most memorable horror/thriller "The Birds."  In true Hitchcock fashion, the master is at his best as he builds the suspense in the first part of the movie followed by the chilling finale.  The film is about the unexplained attack of thousands of birds on a town.  Worked into the story is plenty of romance and comedy, along with special effects, making this movie a favorite since its release in 1963. Stars include Rod Taylor, Tippi Hendren and Jessica Tandy.

Hearthside's expansive lawn can accommodate up to 50 to spread out under the stars. Bring your favorite lawn chair for a pleasant and nostalgic summer evening.  Be sure to bring along bug spray for protection.  No food or drink to be brought in.

Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased in advance or upon arrival.

 Arrive by 8:00 p.m. to set up your spot.  Peruse our "Hearthside Summer Raffle" items, snap a photo by the birdcage, by the refreshment table for movie popcorn, along with a beverage. Then settle back in your chair in to enjoy the movie under the stars.
