Senior, Mel Magin, was one of 40 youth from around Ohio representing 4-H, FFA, and Ohio Farm Bureau selected for the 2021 Ohio Youth Capital Challenge. The Ohio Youth Capital Challenge is for youths who want to learn more about government and public policy and make a difference in their community.
Participants learn how to identify local issues, create solutions, and follow the process through state government. Participants complete a series of online modules with topics designed to help them have a hands-on advocacy experience. Each team presents their solutions for the opportunity to receive a scholarship. Mel is an eight-year member of 4-H in Franklin County.
