The Summer CME Weekend Getaway in Okoboji is a long standing tradition at the IAFP and we are heading back to Okoboji in 2022 for all the fun, sun, education, and socialization this event is known for! We are pleased to offer a rate of $190.00 per night for a King or Queen/Queen in the Inn. Do You Have an Innovative Practice Model?

The IAFP is looking for members who have an innovative practice model and would be willing to share with other members in a webinar or magazine article in the Iowa Family Physician Magazine.
A few examples of of innovative practice models would include:
- Ensuring everyone has a primary care provider
- Practicing in interprofessional teams
- Developing community, rural or school-based clinics
- Promoting equitable access to virtual care
- Collaborating with community projects
- Practicing in a healthcare shortage area
- Diversifying the healthcare workforce to reflect one's community

Need state mandated CME? IAFP is offering state mandated CME courses on Chronic Pain & End of Life Care on-demand. See below for more information and registration.
Iowa-licensed physicians are required to complete 2 hours of Category 1 credits for chronic pain management and 2 hours of Category 1 credits for end-of-life care every five years. These requirements became effective August 17, 2011, are for physicians who provide primary care to patients (e.g., emergency physicians, family physicians, general practice physicians, internists, neurologists, pain medicine specialists, and psychiatrists.)
