KJH Theatre Presents...Cinderella
Tickets are on sale now!
Kings Junior High School Theatre students will entertain audiences in three more performances of Cinderella, January 28 & 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kings High School Auditorium. They will also offer a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Saturday, January 29.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students, staff, and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased online at www.kingstheatre.net.

Kings Stagelighters Receive Donation
Last night at the Kings Junior High's production of Cinderella, Kings Stagelighters was presented with a check for $1,000 from the Daumeyer family in memory and honor of their daughter, Kaylyn (pictured).

The Daumeyer's created a fund to support the arts at Kings after their daughter, Kaylyn passed away. Kaylyn loved her time on the Kings stage. This will be the 9th year presenting a scholarship to a senior that has been involved in the theatre program while at Kings.

Kings Students to Perform in Cleveland Next Week
Eleven Kings Local School District students will be in Cleveland next week to rehearse and perform in concert as members of the Ohio All-State Children's Chorus.

The concert will be attended by hundreds of parents and music educators during the Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference taking place at Cleveland's Huntington Convention Center. The chorus will perform at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 3 in the Hope Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel in downtown Cleveland.

The conductor of the 2022 All-State Children's Chorus is Cincinnati Youth Choirs founding Artistic Director, Robyn Reeves Lana, and serving as piano accompanist is Kings Local School District Music Teacher, Matt Jenkins.

Congratulations to these talented students and thank you to Mr. Jenkins for your time and dedication to our students!

Career Day
The students in Mrs. Heidi Pappas' Kindergarten class participated in Career Day today. Looks like we have a lot of great careers represented!
Kings Board of Education News
The Kings Local School District Board of Education met on Tuesday, January 25.

The Board approved an increase in substitute teacher pay to $125 per day in effect until the end of the school year!

We are in desperate need of subs. You no longer need a Bachelor's degree to sub in Ohio. If you don't have a Bachelor's degree, please email your intent to sub to Mr. Timothy J. Spinner at tspinner@kingslocal.net.

KJH Teacher in Running for NHL MVT
Let's end the month strong! Vote every day for Mrs. Fruhwirth!

Have you voted for Mrs. Fruhwirth yet? She is in competition to be named Teacher of the Year from the NHL but she needs your help! Let's all get behind Mrs. Fruhwirth and VOTE EVERY DAY in January for her to be named Most Valuable Teacher AND win $10,000 in technology for KJH! The grand prize winner, announced in May, will receive an additional $20,000 for a sustainability grant for their school district and $1,000 toward a personal technology device.

Kings Swimmers Dominate at ECC Meet
Congratulations to the AquaKnights who competed in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference Championship last weekend at Princeton High School. The boys put on a dominating performance and finished FIRST for the 3rd year in a row! The girls finished 3rd which made the AquaKnights combined champions for the first time in school history!!

AquaKnights had GOLD MEDALS in the following events:

Girls 200 Medley Relay - Sam Crum, Jackie Cunningham, Melanie Schweikert, Faith Rudowski
Girls 100 Freestyle - Faith Rudowski
