Grass Overseeding Process Underway
Year-round, green grass doesn’t just happen in the desert. The summer Bermuda grass grows easily, but to keep things green in the winter, overseeding with Ryegrass is required. The first step in the process is to reduce the amount of irrigation by half, followed by lowering the mower height to suppress growth. Over the next few weeks, expect to see brown areas as the process continues.

We ask that residents stay off the grass during the overseeding process. This will allow the grass to grow healthy and strong during the upcoming cooler months. For a map of which open spaces and parks will be included in this process, as well as a schedule for the various neighborhoods, please review the flyer at the link below. We appreciate your cooperation and assistance as we help to keep Power Ranch looking beautiful.

COMMUNITY NEWS
3Rs in PR Campaign - Our Goal is Within Reach!
We're now just 10 days away from our goal! Once we hit 120 days, we'll celebrate with a fun party for the entire family to enjoy! Watch for more info on our big celebration.

We're on the home stretch! Don't forget your 3 R's in PR: REHYDRATE by drinking lots of water while out and about; REAPPLY your sunscreen often, especially after prolonged swimming or exercising; and don't forget to go to the RESTROOM often! This is a good rule of thumb for kids of all ages since accidents are the cause of most pool shutdowns.

Domestic Ducks
While it may seem like a good idea to drop your domestic ducks at the lakes here in Power Ranch, it is actually quite harmful to them. Because these ducks have been domesticated, they lack the instinct to survive on their own, so even the simplest tasks, like finding food, can be a challenge.

Please reach out to the Arizona Game & Fish Department to find an appropriate home for these animals or for more information.
Doggie "Doos" & Don'ts
We love our four-legged residents here in Power Ranch, but it's important to follow all Association and town rules and laws. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. This is not just for the safety of other residents and dogs, but for your own pet's safety as well. Remember to always pick up after your pets while out in parks and open spaces. These areas are used by residents for many purposes, so keeping the grass clean of pet waste is important to allow others to enjoy these spaces safely.
Failure to comply with these, and other Town of Gilbert policies can and will lead to fines from the Gilbert Police Department. Pet waste stations have been placed throughout the community, so please use them.
