2022 Exterior Housing Inspections
Once every five years, the City of Cleveland Heights inspects the exteriors of all owner-occupied, single-family homes. There is NO FEE for these inspections. Inspections are conducted on a street-by-street basis as part of a five-year rotation. The table below lists the full and partial streets where the City will inspect homes in 2022.

Properties that have had a point-of-sale inspection conducted within the preceding three years are not subject to a new exterior inspection. To help prepare for these inspections, Cleveland Heights' Division of Inspectional Services has prepared a checklist (PDF) for residents. If you have any questions, please visit our webpage or call Inspectional Services at (216) 291-5900.
News You Can Use
Welcome to Cleveland Heights, Amplify Dispensary!
Today, Friday, March 18, 2022, Amplify Dispensary officially opened its doors in Coventry Village at 1782 Coventry Road. Mayor Kahlil Seren attended Amplify's opening.

Amplify Coventry Village is the flagship retail location for Buckeye Relief, a licensed Level 1 medical marijuana cultivator and processor. Buckeye Relief employs more than 130 people at its state-of-the-art 60,000-square-foot facility in Eastlake, and it has the largest overall market share in Ohio, based on the number of products sold in dispensaries since the state's medical-marijuana program started.

Buckeye Relief has worked to bring a dispensary to Coventry Village for five years, first applying for a license in 2017. Last May, Buckeye Relief was granted a provisional license for the Amplify location, and it has been rehabbing the 100+-year-old building over the past nine months.

'Made Cleveland' to Make Coventry Village Its Permanent Home
On Monday, March 7, 2022, Cleveland Heights City Council authorized Mayor Kahlil Seren to enter into an agreement to lease the City-owned retail space at 1807 Coventry Road to Made Cleveland, a one-stop-shop for Clevelanders to find and purchase unique products from talented, regional artists and crafters. The 1807 Coventry location is part of the City-owned Coventry Road Garage.

"Made Cleveland is a cultural amplifier," Cleveland Heights Mayor Kahlil Seren said. "It allows local artists and crafters to reach a much larger market than they otherwise might. By working with Made Cleveland, we're actually supporting hundreds of local small businesses."

Made Cleveland plans to open its Coventry Road doors in late spring/early summer 2022. In the meantime, products from local artists and crafters are available at Make Cleveland's online marketplace, www.MadeCleveland.com

Medicare For All in CH
On Monday, March 7, 2022, Cleveland Heights City Council unanimously passed a resolution supporting U.S. House Resolution 1976, the Medicare for All Act, which would assure appropriate and efficient healthcare for all U.S. residents.

Heights resident Marlene Goldheimer addressed Cleveland Heights City Council and praised the City for taking this symbolic but important action. Click the image to the right to see Marlene's comments.

Mayor Kahlil Seren drafted the legislation, which was co-sponsored by all seven members of City Council. "I am proud to add the City of Cleveland Heights to the chorus of voices advocating for Medicare for All," Mayor Seren said. "The unanimous support of the elected representatives in our city is a testament to this progressive policy's benefit for our residents. Access to healthcare is a human right, and it is the moral responsibility of a nation like ours to provide it."
