Hello GRAPE Members,
Spring has officially arrived per the calendar and I hope that our weather will cooperate as well. Fresh air, sunshine and safe in person visits are good for the soul!
I wanted to highlight a few things for the coming months, and believe it or not the end of the GRAPE year in June….how did that happen?
We have four more education programs, two in April and two in May with some great speakers lined up. The Program Committee is planning well into the fall so if you have any speaker/topic ideas, or are interested in sponsoring a meeting, please let the committee know. Our last meeting of the year will be the Advocacy Committee Speak Out; where members can discuss topics you would like the committee to explore in preparation for the Legislative Town Hall next year. We hope to return to in person meetings in the fall, and we will know more in the coming months.
The Marketing Committee has another Virtual Eldercare Fair planned for later this month, as well as a Networking/Music Trivia Virtual Event. They are also planning for some safe outdoor networking options for the warmer months.
For the second year in a row we need to reinvent our Annual Gala, our largest fundraiser of the year. There will be sponsorship opportunities, and similar to last year there will be an online raffle and a virtual portion of the night. In addition, this year there will be a safe in person drop by event. More details to come as the Gala Committee is working on the details!
