LEGAL RESOURCES

Our January article addresses the concerns of individuals with mental illness facing divorce in the United States, highlighting the fear that their condition may lead to losing custody of their children. The blog aims to guide parents in understanding the complexities involved and improving their chances of securing favorable custody decisions despite mental health challenges.

ProVisors Happy Hour at HK
On Wednesday, January 24th, we kicked off the new year with our 2nd Annual ProVisors Happy Hour at HK. Thank you to the Silicon Valley ProVisors members who joined us for an evening of sushi and camaraderie.

We appreciate this network of extraorandy individuals and look forward to an amazing year ahead with the ProVisors community.

Symphony San Jose
Hoover Krepelka, LLP proudly stands as a supporter of the music education and community programs facilitated by Symphony San Jose. On Saturday, January 27th, several of us had the pleasure of attending Symphony San Jose's Automation performance at the historic California Theatre in San Jose. The performance was a cinematic concerto that explored the conflicts and connections between man and machine, and it did not dissapoint!

Kindly join us in creating a philanthropic influence by backing our local performing arts community. Corporate sponsorships and season ticket acquisitions at Symphony San Jose offer an excellent opportunity for your company to promote employee engagement, contribute to cultural enrichment, and make a positive impact in our community.
On January 19th, Michelle Hoover, our Director of Community Relations, along with the 2024 Leadership San Jose cohort, delved into the issue of income inequality and the challenges of living below the poverty line in San Jose.

The group collaborated with Downtown Streets Team (DST) for an immersive and interactive poverty simulation, gaining a profound understanding of the realities faced by those without housing or with limited resources in our community. Special thanks to Chris Richardson, Chief Programming Officer of DST, and the team of unhoused volunteers who facilitated the group's journey into the complexities of living under the poverty line.

Ewell Sterner, CEO/Founder of Hunger at Home, provided the group with insights into food insecurity, highlighting how Hunger at Home rescues unused food and creates opportunities to address this pressing issue in San Jose. A fantastic lunch from Full Circle Catering, the catering division of Hunger at Home, was served.

We encourage everyone to support the causes of addressing food scarcity, homelessness and offering community support to those who need it most by getting acquainted with these organizations. Please consider making your next group catering order from Full Circle Catering to contribute to this important mission!
