Principal's Message:
Dear St. Peter Family,
We are ready to celebrate our St. Peter Catholic School! Saturday kicks off National Catholic Schools Week, and although I might be biased, I think we have the best one right here! Next week, we will be celebrating through prayer, service, community, and of course some fun too! We hope you can join us Saturday after 4:30 Mass for a spaghetti dinner in the school cafeteria and gym. All are welcome! Parents and grandparents are also welcome to attend our school Mass on Wednesday at 9:00. Please check the Catholic Schools Week schedule that Mrs. Moorman sent out as there are a few out of uniform days for the students. Also, we will be celebrating our teachers all week, so if you would like to send in a note or an email of appreciation, I know it would be meaningful to them. Last, but most definitely not least, I offer my sincere thanks to you, our parents and families for sending your children to our school and entrusting us with their education. The community we are building at St. Peter is special, but it would not be possible without you. Your dedication and commitment to our school makes St. Peter successful. Happy Catholic Schools Week!
St. Peter, friend of Jesus,
PRAY FOR US!
Mrs. Kadel

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton
Elizabeth Ann Bayley was born in New York City on August 28, 1774. At the age of 19, Elizabeth married William Seton and had five children. William died of tuberculosis in 1803, leaving Elizabeth a young widow. After discovering Catholicism in Italy, where her husband had died, Elizabeth returned to the United States and entered the Catholic Church in 1805 in New York. Elizabeth then moved to Maryland where she founded the Sisters of Charity of St. Joseph’s, the first community for religious women established in the United States. She also began St. Joseph’s Academy and Free School, planting the seeds of Catholic education in the United States. Her legacy now includes religious congregations in the United States and Canada whose members work on the unmet needs of people living in poverty in North America and beyond. Mother Seton, as she is often called, was canonized on Sunday, September 14, 1975 in St. Peter’s Square by Pope Paul VI. She was the first citizen born in the United States to be given the title of “Saint.” Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton is the patron saint of Catholic schools!
