One of the many hardships faced by families experiencing homelessness is isolation and lack of community. In our Bridge to Home shelter, we now have the opportunity to provide a space where children and families can come together and experience healing and joy. We have added lots of great enrichment programs, none of which would be possible without our amazing volunteers!

Here's a taste of what these spaces bring to families in shelter:

  • Playroom: the ultimate spot for kids in shelter! We offer preschool craft and story times, as well as after-school homework help.

  • Dining room: we host gatherings like monthly bingo and movie nights, and special events around holidays. We'll be enjoying Christmas dinner here later this month!

  • Conference room: guests are invited to skill-building events like financial literacy workshops, so that when they leave our four walls, they have the tools needed to maintain independence and stability.

It's thanks to supporters like you that we are able to grow our enrichment and learning programs. We are grateful to every group and individual who has made this work possible! Please consider giving today so we can continue building out supportive, thoughtful, and fun ways to engage our FPTV families.

Part of the Give!Guide mission is lifting up other non-profits doing great work in our area. This year we are partnered with Pueblo Unido.

  • The mission of Pueblo Unido is to create hope for and amplify the voices of communities with vulnerable immigration status by connecting them to legal, social, and Indigenous language interpretation services. Pueblo Unido envisions a world in which all people live in freedom, and where they and their communities can be safe, feel supported, and thrive.

  • Since forming in April 2017, WE- our donors, volunteers, clients, staff, and partners--have collaborated to…
  • Facilitate over 500 free legal consultations
  • Connect over 1,200 individuals to legal representation
  • Deliver Indigenous language interpretation services during over 400 appointments in legal, health, and community settings.
  • Submit 16,000 applications to pandemic-assistance programs

This collaboration has protected due process rights, promoted household stability, and secured Indigenous language justice. Pueblo Unido's community of donors, volunteers, and staff play a crucial role in making these outcomes possible!
