God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though it’s waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
Psalm 46:1-3
Pastor Aaron Staub, a seminary friend of Austin, has been feeling overly exhausted, worn out, and sick. He has much to do, teaching Theology at a high school, coaching the cross country team, and preaching occasionally at the church. He found himself unable to function so he did what all guys avoid, he went to the doctor. He took a Covid test, that was negative, so the doctors ordered blood work. I called him last week to check up on him and the doctors were still waiting on the results.

On Monday afternoon, Aaron was diagnosed with Leukemia. Yesterday, Aaron sat in the chemo chair and began treatment and this is what he texted our class…

Have you ever been at a starting line of a race? Having run several marathons and many other smaller races, I know what that feels like. Confidence and fear. Confidence in putting in the work, running the miles and training my body. Fear, in that “anything can happen on race day.” Someone once said, “The starting line makes cowards of us all.” How true that is!

I find myself on the staring line this morning filled with both confidence and fear. The confidence is not in me or my work. I did nothing but have a sinned filled body that needed saving. God is the one who sent his Son, to save me from this body of death. So I follow where he leads. That causes fear-because I am not the leader of this race. I have never faced a race like this. But I am surround by a great cloud of witnesses who love and support and pray for me! That is true for you as well. You are not alone wherever God may lead. No matter how dark the path. The battle has already been won.
(No one is putting Jesus back in his grave.)

You are loved! - Pastor Aaron Staub

Aaron is right, the battle has already been won and NOTHING can put Jesus back in the tomb!

See you Sunday as we continue to celebrate THE GREATEST COMEBACK EVER!

Prayer: Lord, we ask that you heal Aaron, comfort his family, and use this trial for Your Glory. Your will be done! AMEN
For Kids!
Hi Kids!

CHRIST IS RISEN! He is risen indeed alleluia!

I have a special video for you today since many of you will be out of town for spring break.  Sunday, we will see Jesus appearing again to the disciples on the side of a lake and Jesus does something really really cool! Have fun watching with your family.  We will miss you, but I hope you have a fun time enjoying God's creation. Jesus loves you very much!

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
