Dear Team,

As Orange County Government employees, you serve as ambassadors for our organization, and more importantly, set the example for the community to follow. This is especially true over the past several months as we continue to overcome new challenges presented by the pandemic. I appreciate the overwhelming support of our workforce in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, as this is one of the most effective ways to prevent serious illness from the virus. As ambassadors in the community, it is important that we all stay up to date with the latest information about the virus and vaccine. Information about the pandemic, along with a variety of resources, continue to be added to the employee resource page, as well as shared via email.

We have created a new email address for employees to ask Orange County EMS Medical Director Dr. Christian Zuver specific questions about COVID-19 – AskDrZ@ocfl.net. All COVID-19 education emails will now come from this address moving forward and you can respond back with questions and feedback, which will help us shape future messages. Your health and wellbeing are very important to me. Thank you for all you do in the community.

Breast Cancer Awareness – Wear Pink!

I would like to invite all County employees to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month on Monday, October 11. Please consider joining us for a photo at the County Administration Building with the pink OCFR fire engine at 12 p.m. on that day.
There is one more opportunity to receive a FREE mobile mammogram on Friday, November 19, at Family Services for those who have not taken advantage of it yet. Check out the flyer for more details.

Thank you for all you do!
