Dear Neighbor:
This month, Cherry Hill Township proudly recognizes Pride Month by celebrating the accomplishments of LGBTQIA+ individuals around the world. Pride Month gives us the opportunity to reiterate the township’s steadfast support of LGBTQIA+ community and the importance of standing up for the rights of LGBTQIA+ people everywhere. Throughout June, the Cherry Hill Public Library will host a variety of Pride programs. If you're interested in learning more, please visit their website.
As we get into the summer months, it's time to start filling up your calendar! Together with Township Council, I am excited to kick off the inaugural Independence Day 5K and Block Party at Croft Farm! Join us on Sunday, July 4 for a chip-timed 5K and 1-Mile walk through Croft Farm and Maria Barnaby Greenwald Park (a mix of pavement and trail). Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female age group finishers in the 5K. Runners are encouraged to dress in their favorite red, white and blue; the best "4th-themed" runner will win a prize!
There will be post-race refreshments, awards ceremony, giveaways, DJ, inflatable games for the kids, a balloon artist, airbrush tattoos and a bubble show. Kona Ice will also be on hand selling cool treats.
We are also in need of volunteers to assist with day of set-up, packet pick-up, and course marshals. You can sign up by clicking here or contact our Recreation Department by email or phone at 856-488-7868.
Please continue to stay safe.
Sincerely,

National Wildlife Federation Wildlife Habitat

The Cherry Hill Environmental Board has just registered the Barclay Farmstead Community Garden as a National Wildlife Federation Wildlife Habitat.
The gardens, surrounding open space and stream all provide food, water and cover for pollinators, amphibians and other valuable native species.
Cherry Hill is on its way to becoming one of only 135 towns in the country to hold the distinction of being certified by the NWF as a Wildlife Habitat Community. Help our township reach this goal, and be featured here in the Mayor’s weekly email by registering your own property at NWF.org/certify.
