Call for Officer Nominations
|
|
The FAEMSMD nominating committee is accepting nominations for the FAEMSMD Governing Council. The positions are President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer and two at large members and elected for a 2-year term.
Elections will take place at the summer 2022 meeting- date TBD. Candidates must be a current member in good standing.
Please submit a note of interest with a short bio to FAEMSMD c/o Melissa Keahey by March 14th for review and consideration by the nominating committee.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Members who do not intend to submit a nomination can volunteer for the nominating committee. Candidates will be presented to membership in April.

All 2021 memberships expired on December 31st. The renewal grace period ended on January 31st. Members who did not renew as of February 15th have been contacted and will be removed from the FAEMSMD mailing list, member portal, and all membership benefits will be suspended.

PEM Rules is a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Medicine podcast designed to help medical students, residents, physicians or anyone who cares for children in the acute setting. In just over 1 year, Dr. Yaron Ivan has created over 30 episodes ranging in topics like critical care, fevers, and interviews with pediatric physicians.

National Advisory Committee on Children in Disasters
The NACCD will conduct an inaugural public meeting (virtual) on February 17, 2022. The new advisory committee will be sworn in along with the presentation and discussion of challenges, opportunities, and priorities for national public health and medical preparedness, response and recovery, specific to the needs of children and their families in disasters.
Members of the public may attend the meeting via Zoom teleconference, which requires pre-registration, and may provide written comments, submit questions to the NACCD, and provide comments after the meeting by email to NACCD@hhs.gov.
