Cream the sugar and butter. Add buttermilk. Beat eggs lightly and add sugar and butter, stirring lightly. Add coconut and vanilla. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Cook 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Lower heat to 300 degrees and cook until done, approximately 30-40 minutes.

Hello Spring!
Can you believe its already spring of 2021?! Are the days just flying by or is it just me? It's crazy to think we're about to hit a one year mark on when the craziness of Covid-19 began.
Kat Nelson Designs has still been running through the chaos of it all! We are excited to announce that we have won "Best of Houzz 2021 - Design" and "Best of Houzz 2021 - Service". January's market was full of some fresh products and ideas. Again, anything goes! Color, monochromatic, quiet neutrals with lots of texture or neutrals with pops of color....and every metal finish mixed together....make it your own and we will help you.
We spoke about this in our last newsletter, but the manufacturers, trucking lines, ports have never been so busy. Supply and demand of the industry is still struggling! For example, what used to be 8-10 weeks to get custom orders is still now 12-20 weeks and the list goes on and on. We want to give a huge shout out to our wonderful clients. We are so grateful for how patient you all have been during these crazy times!

Wallpaper is back and it's not going anywhere anytime soon! We've been loving wallpaper for a while now but there was definitely a time where everyone wanted to strip their wallpapered spaces and paint. One of our favorite places to use a wallpaper is in a powder room. This space may be small but it's the perfect place to add a fun pop! What better way to do this than with a fun wallpaper pattern?! Keep an eye out because there are so many good ones coming out these days.
I think we all can agree that builder grade bathrooms definitely don't say "wow". They have boring materials, no color, and are just overall underwhelming. There's something special about having unique fun pops, even if it is a smaller space. Having cool elements to a sometimes glanced over area really adds something to a home!
