STAAR Testing - May 3-7
The week of May 3-7 we will be running an alternate schedule in the mornings. Students taking STAAR exams should check their HISD email for their testing room assignment. They received an email from [email protected]. To view a larger image of the schedule, please click here.

#ThrowbackThursday brings with it a return to Cardinal Day. The morning should be an opportunity for students to catch up on any missed work, including asynchronous assignments from the days before.
STAAR Algebra 1, Biology, and U.S. History Exams are Next Week
In order to plan safely, we need to know whether or not students are coming to campus to take their STAAR EOC exams. These forms are being sent to students through their Algebra 1, Biology, and U.S. History teachers. Also, below are the registration forms for these STAAR EOC exams.

Safety Procedures During Testing:
  • Students' temperatures will be checked upon entering the school. Any student with a fever will not be able to test.
  • All faculty and students will wear their masks properly, at all times.
  • Students will sit 6 feet apart from each other.
  • There will be no more than 12 students assigned to a classroom.
  • Only the students that are taking the STAAR exam will be on campus.

Check our Testing Webpage for answers to all of your testing questions. If you have any questions regarding testing, please email Ms. Mulet.
Attention Algebra I students and their parents:
It is important to have practiced with a TI-84 Plus calculator for the STAAR Algebra I EOC exam. On test day, you will have a TI-84 Plus calculator provided for your use. If you have not purchased a TI-84 Plus calculator, you have several options so that you can practice prior to the STAAR test.

You can install a software emulator on your smartphone. Wabbitemu is free in Google Play, and Calculate84 is free in the Apple app store.

You can also make an appointment with the Bellaire high school technology department to have the WabbitEmu software installed on your school laptop. The appointment will take 15-30 minutes.

Click here to book your appointment.
