WARRIORS OF THE WEEK
Mercedes “Sadie” H. ~ 6th Grade
Mercedes H. is our 6th grade Warrior of the Week! Sadie comes to school each day prepared and eager to learn. Although this year has had its challenges, Sadie continues to stay positive and make those around her smile. She is talented, creative, hard-working, and always turns in her best work. Sadie is a team player and often lends a helping hand to her classmates. By recognizing Sadie as our Warrior of the Week, we are ending the third quarter on a positive note. The sixth grade team is so proud and can't wait to see what the future has in store for this young Fairview Warrior. Keep being awesome in the fourth quarter!
Lilly C.~ 7th Grade
Lilly C. is our 7th grade Warrior of the Week! Since being back in person, Lilly has been diligently working in all of her classes! She has shown so much dedication and great effort in Science. In math she is open for help and is respectfully grateful for the teacher's support. Her teachers appreciate her coming to class with a positive and kind attitude! Expecting great growth from Lilly in this last quarter of 7th grade.
Akira W. ~ 8th Grade
Akira W. is our 8th grade Warrior of the Week! Akira is a star in every class. Quiet, but with a witty sense of humor, she adds to discussions, works well with peers, and always strives to do her best. We, her teachers, thank her for being our go-to for nodding at sarcastic comments and getting our dry, albeit goofy humor. Thanks, Akira, and keep it up!
Scarlett L. ~ 9th Grade
Scarlett L. has been selected as our 9th grade Warrior of the Week! Scarlett is an extremely hard working student. She always tries her best, asks questions and participates in class. Scarlett has been fully remote all year and has continued to excel in her courses through her determination and diligence in her school work. Keep it up Scarlett! We are so proud of you!
Angela “Lucy” L.~ 10th Grade
Angela “Lucy” L. has been selected as our 10th grade Warrior of the Week!! Lucy has a smile to go with her positive attitude regardless of the assignment she is working on. Lucy is always ready to lend a helping hand with both students and teachers. She is also very good at finding creative solutions. Keep up the good work, Lucy!
Shelby T. ~ 11th Grade
Shelby T. has been selected as our 11th grade Warrior of the Week! Shelby is a model student and athlete. She is an AP student whose GPA hovers around 4.0. She is on Student Council and NHS and a starter on the varsity softball team. More importantly Shelby has the kind of character that we promote in all of our students as she volunteers her time and effort outside of school as well. Keep up the great work!
Grace E. ~ 12th Grade
Grace E. has been selected as our 12th grade Warrior of the Week! Grace is a wonderful addition to any class. She comes to school every day with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She constantly strives to challenge herself and grow both as a student and individual. In addition to excelling here at FHS she is balancing challenging course work at Polaris. Keep up the good work!
SCHOOL PICTURES HAVE ARRIVED!
Pictures have arrived from Lifetouch and will be distributed this coming week during class. Picture retakes are scheduled for April 27th and 28th from 8:00-1:00PM. High School retakes will take place in the HS gym and Middle School retakes will take place in the MS gym. If you intend on having your pictures retaken, you must bring your original picture with you on retake day. Remote students are welcome to come either day between 8:00-1:00pm.
Is this how you felt before the test?
Now that it’s over, try to destress! You may constantly worry about how well you did on the test. Take a minute to savor that you successfully completed the test. Do a happy dance, something you love, or maybe just grab some food with your friends!

F.A.C.E. - FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Hello Fairview Park Families!

I hope that everyone had a restful spring break! We are 9 weeks away from finishing one of the hardest years ever......but I feel like FP is a head of the pack and stronger than ever - We are Fairview Strong!!!!
Before spring break, I had an article that I wanted to repeat in case you did not see it -

There has been a lot of talk about SEL (Social Emotional Learning). I found this great article that I hope each of you can take 5 minutes to read. (While it is for an elementary age child, it really does apply to any age child). This article really explains SEL and why it is important for your child's development as well as some ways for parents to help with SEL at home. I hope you find this very resourceful -

Another important topic we should all have with our children of all ages is about personal safety. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month - so I wanted to share this link on how to talk to your child about their personal space..

As always, please reach out to me if you are in need of any other resources.

Stay well,
Ms. Sullivan
