"In March 2022, a free food giveaway was launched on the 25th Street parking lot of the church as a means of serving the church and community. In June, a couple of us stopped in at two local markets to ask for grocery bags to pack loose items. In each instance, we were directed to their corporate offices. Upon completing the required paperwork, we were immediately approved by the Smart & Final Charitable Foundation to receive a quarterly donation of $250. A goal of their charitable foundation is to give back to and nourish the communities they serve in California, Arizona, and Nevada through their pillars of focus: health and wellness, education, hunger relief, team sports & youth development, and disaster relief.
We are exceedingly grateful for this tangible assistance as we continue to “provide service for the space we occupy” on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Members and friends are encouraged to join this working fellowship."

"The Biden-Harris Administration launched a new nationwide Test to Treat initiative in March to give individuals an important way to quickly access free lifesaving treatment for COVID-19. Through this program, people are able to get tested and – if they are positive and treatments are appropriate for them – receive a prescription from a health care provider (either on-site or through telehealth), and have their prescription filled all at one location. These “One-Stop Test to Treat” sites are available at thousands of locations nationwide, including pharmacy-based clinics, federally-funded health centers, long-term care facilities, and community-based sites. In May, the program was expanded to include federally-supported Test to Treat sites. People can continue to be tested and treated by their own health care providers, health care clinics in their community, and telehealth providers who can appropriately prescribe the oral antivirals to locations where the medicines are distributed."
