Dear Donors,
Happy Holidays to you and all our amazing donors! During this time of year, it is always my pleasure to send out a personal note to all of you and not only say thank you but also catch you up on what has happened in the past year and what is about to happen in 2023.
We have spent the better part of 2022 waiting for a permit from the city to finish what we started in 2019 … the Reimagine Magnolia Village project. I am delighted that Seattle has approved the permits covering streetscape improvements in Phases IV & V.
We will move forward with fundraising, construction, and installation in 2023. Completing our Magnolia business and residential community beautification goal is exciting.
Ann Goos, our newsletter editor, has kept our donors informed over the last several months and posted renderings of what is to come in Phases IV & V. We include all the renderings again in today’s newsletter to refresh your memory of how your donations will be spent and the difference you will help make in Magnolia Village. You will begin to see more information around the Village about both phases, so keep your eyes open as you shop locally and pick up your coffee daily.
I know you are asking, “what can I do?” The answer is easy! Please put Magnolia Better Together on your charitable end-of-year donation list and make a tax-deductible donation to Magnolia Beautification. Our financial goal for completing Phases IV & V is $250,000.
With your generous donations to date, you have made everything we see in the Village - umbrellas, tables, chairs, flower poles, benches, and tree wells - happen. Now we need to do what I like to call putting the “frosting on the cake” and complete our village's beautification (see the map below).
To all our donors, volunteers, the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce, and my wonderful Magnolia Beautification Committee team: THANK YOU for investing in your community and keeping happy smiles on our faces as we complete Phases IV and V. I am sending warm wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season. Please continue with your support. We are the only ones that can make this happen.
Enjoy Magnolia Village's lights, wreaths, and festive feel as you continue to love and shop local.
Thank you,
Cheryl McQuiston, Chair, Magnolia Beautification Committee
