A rousing success to benefit the San Antonio Children's Shelter
The William S. Sessions Inn of Court Outreach Group issued a challenge to bar associations in Bexar County to provide new residents and clients of the SA Children’s Shelter with sturdy roller bags filled with personal items.
SABA members exemplified the season and answered this call to action, but we blew passed our initial goal of 50 bags and delivered 96 filled bags! Thank you to all of those who participated and helped us show what SABA proud means!
The Inn of Court Outreach Group Leader, Ileta! Sumner, shares, “Thank you to Inn member Judge Rosie Speedlin Gonzalez for identifying this community need (and bringing Santa to the Collection Day); thanks to the SABA and Bexar County Women’s Bar Association for the extra publicity. Thank you to every participant for helping to instill confidence in the life of children whose futures are not clear.”
