MANS 50th Anniversary
Celebrating 50 years of service to Michigan's non-public schools through stories of dedicated faith-based educators, leaders, and families.
God’s Direction Leading the Way
Tonya Langlois has a connection to St. John Lutheran School in Rogers City that spans generations. Her father and grandmother were students and after transferring to the school in middle school she began her journey at the school she would later teach and lead. Tonya credits her middle school teacher, Judy Hein, for her desire to enter the education field. She says of Ms. Hein, “she was gracious, forgiving and made me feel loved.” After high school, Tonya attended Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She said, “It was at Concordia where I realized that teaching is my passion. It isn’t a job, but rather God’s calling for me.”

Help us celebrate 50 years! Tell us how faith-based education and MANS has impacted you by completing this brief survey. We will use the survey results to help form our communications over the coming year.

This event will be held at the Michigan Catholic Conference in Lansing, Michigan from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will include presentations on Google Classroom, Self-Care, Customer Service, Health and Safety, and time for networking!

What your peers said about the 2019 Creating Pathways:
  • It's a great way to network with peers, as well as learn things that are useful to my work. These topics intentionally chosen and geared for the school secretary/admin. assistant/office professional make it very special, and not just something offered that there may be bits and pieces that might be useful.
  • It's a pleasure to spend time with Christians and fellow admins. I always come away refreshed.
  • I think it is good to see and meet with people who do the same things all over the state. Its nice to know there are others who do the same things.
