Why is showing up to Mass physically so important?
We experience the presence of Christ in community, through physical gathering in a church building, the "house of God," dedicated to worship. We come together to receive the sacraments, which are physical signs of God's grace. Assembled physically and in community, we experience the presence of Christ in a much more tangible way than virtually. Learn more at archseattle.org/Mass.
Pease join us at one of the following Masses:
Saturday at 5:00pm
Sunday at 9:00am
Sunday at 11:00am
Masks are no longer required in the Archdiocese of Seattle, but we continue to uphold other COVID-19 safety measures to continue to provide a safe space to worship for everyone. We understand that not everyone is comfortable without a mask at this time, and we also realize that not everyone wants to continue mask use. We welcome all people regardless of their mask preference and wish to provide a welcoming environment so that we may continue to carry out the mission of the Church. We appreciate all of our parishioners understanding both sides and respecting everyone’s choice in the body of Christ.
Please self-screen and stay home if you are not feeling well. Sick, vulnerable, at-risk, and otherwise concerned persons are encouraged to celebrate Mass with us via livestream.

Palm Sunday is this weekend, and we begin to anticipate the joys Easter will bring. Do you have the same exuberance for your Lenten promises as at the beginning of Lent? You still have time to gain the graces and virtues offered in this Lenten season. The goal is in sight. Do not give up. The real work of our redemptions happens in the coming week.
The Paschal Triduum bridges the seasons of Lent to Easter. It is the three-day celebration of the Paschal Mystery, the Passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Please join us for the liturgies on these days, which speak to us powerfully of God's love and mercy.
HOLY THURSDAY
"Jesus gives himself to us as food and in the washing of feet, teaches us the need to serve others."
GOOD FRIDAY
"In the mystery of Christ's death on the cross, we contemplate that undying divine love which embraces all mankind and summons us in turn to love one another in the power of the Spirit."
HOLY SATURDAY
"The day of God's silence - invites us not only to solidarity with all who are abandoned and alone, but also to trust in that faithful love which turns death into life."

EASTER BASKET BLESSING
Holy Saturday, April 16 at 12:00pm
|
|
In many Eastern European countries, it is a tradition to have a basket of food blessed for Holy Saturday or Easter Sunday meals. It is a practice dating back to the 15th century, and one which is still maintained by most families in Easter Europe.
All families are invited to bring Easter baskets to church on Holy Saturday at 12:00pm for a blessing. The baskets can contain food and drink that will be enjoyed at your Easter meal, for example: ham, sausage, decorated eggs, bread, etc.

Classes will be held online using Zoom videoconferencing software. The class will use a text, Hebrews, by Mary Healy; it’s cost is $17.29. You can register by calling the church office at 425-823-0787 or by signing up at the welcome table in the narthex. Please indicate whether you want us to order a copy of the text for you.

How many times does James Bond get married in the movie series?
- Never
- Once
- Twelve times
Answer: This is a bit of a trick question – James Bond was only actually married once. He married Teresa “Tracy” Draco aka Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” He played married to Kissy Suzuki in “You Only Live Twice” for a cover story.
New Question: Which Bond villain was central to both these movies?
Let’s hope he or she doesn’t show up to our Gala and Auction on November 5!
