HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We're kicking off the new year with a bang!

A Message from the Founders…

Happy 2024!!! We hope everyone had wonderful holidays and spent some quality time with those you love. We’re feeling refreshed and renewed and anxious to get going with the new year. December was a busy month for us…

We started off with 2 Charity Events – one in our neighboring Santa Barbara, where we’ve been making new friends and connections. It was a holiday concert performed by the Tribe which took place at SOhO Music Club and benefitted 2 organizations we truly support: Unity Shoppe, a food pantry which distributes food and supplies to families in need, and the Channel Islands YMCAs, which includes locations throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. We are anticipating some new GTF music classes to start there some time early this year. Our second event was the annual holiday show at Bogies in Westlake Village, also performed by the Tribe, and included a silent auction as well. A fun time was had by all, both on and off stage. Together these events raised $11,500 for the Foundation which will go toward continuing our programs.

Please watch for updates about our new campaign for 2024 supporting the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Wishing you and yours all the best.

HOLIDAY OUTREACH AT THE WOODLANDS

Like every year, GTF supports family shelters with holiday gifts and food. This year, despite the rain, we had a beautiful event at the newly opened family shelter called The Woodlands on December 20th. This 400-bed facility in Woodland Hills houses 100 families. Together with Santa and The Grinch, we distributed about 200 gifts to the kids who reside there, plus lots of toys & goodies. Just seeing the looks on their faces confirmed the reasons why we do what we do. We are very proud of our efforts.

Thanks to Eyde McAllister & Discovery School for their toy donations once again!

ANNUAL HOLIDAY GIFTING AT CASA DE VIDA!

We gave gifts to all the kids.

HERE'S A QUICK YEAR IN REVIEW:

Hand-Wash Kits:

7500 Kits have been distributed, mostly by The Midnight Mission, to unsheltered homeless individuals throughout Los Angeles. GTF also supplies the New Friends Homeless Center and the San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center.

Food

Each month we’ve supplied food to North Valley Caring Services food bank, which distributes meals to kids and families in need. This year we served 3850 meals. Thank you Chef Charlie & Chef Mare!

Music Program: Our music program, Together in Tune, served agencies throughout the San Fernando Valley including Boys & Girls Club and other afterschool programs and camps all year. Thanks to our wonderful teachers: Bill Cinque, Sierra Drummond, Hunter Hawkins, Scotty Breadman, Alex Williams, Henry Arias, and Tom Jacob, under the direction of Lauri Reimer, for a fantastic year bring music enrichment to kids from 7 to 17 years of age.
