NEW! MODEL CLAIMANT HANDBOOK
The purpose of the Model Claimant Handbook is to provide a guide for states that want to simplify and update their claimant handbook. The Model Handbook draws upon behavioral insights and document layout best practices to assist states in producing a handbook that is easy for claimants to read and understand. The Handbook consists of two documents: a PDF of instructions for how to use and modify the handbook, as well as an editable template (Word document) that can be easily customized by states.

This is the first product in a series of helpful tools produced by the Integrity Center that will be offered to help states update and simplify their messaging to claimants.

Look for more information coming soon!

The Handbook may be accessed in the Knowledge Exchange Library.

UI IT Support Center (UI ITSC)
NEW GUIDANCE RELEASED: SUPPORTING SECURE UI IT MODERNIZATION
UI ITSC released “Security Guidance Supporting UI IT Modernization” which provides recommendations designed to support the inclusion of essential security controls as an integral part of modernization efforts of Unemployment Insurance (UI) IT systems.

Building security into systems is more cost effective than implementing security solutions into deployed applications. Recognition of the importance of developing secure systems is improving. This has not always been the case and even now application functionality tends to be given priority over security functionality.
