Calling All Women- This one is for you Only Ladies!!  
The Royse City Chamber Women Empowered Program is (Finally) kicking off and we are excited!! We are spilling the tea to you ladies, and we want you to join us to hear all about it! This is for ALL Women, all walks of life. Whether or not you are a career woman, stay at home Mother, working Mother, Children are grown, no children, single, married, retiree, not sure what to do yet in life, W.E. WANT YOU!  

June 14th, 5-6:30 p.m. at Smoke Sessions BBQ  
This event is free to attend but we will need you to register.
We will have light snacks, tea and water available! 


Alcoholic beverages can be purchased. *Bonus... Smoke Sessions created a special drink for Women Empowered called Pink Power!  
All ladies (ages 21+) are welcome to join us! W.E. are a group of women who want to connect and build relationships with other Women in the Rockwall, Hunt and Collin County area. Come have fun, meet other ladies and see what we are all about. W.E. want you to feel included and empowered!

Our annual Awards Luncheon was held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. We were so honored to have you celebrate with us We inducted our Board of Directors along with presenting individuals and businesses that stood out this last year in the achievements!

Bret Wilson, Wilson Investment Services, LLC, outgoing chairman, and Tim Cypert, Cypert Insurance, board chair 2019-2020, served as our Luncheon as emcees and did a wonderful, entertaining job!

Congrats to Johnny Crenshaw, Occasions at Stone River, who is the incoming board chair, returning to serve on the Board of Directors after 30 years!

Judge Mark Russo did the honors of installing the new and current board members. Now onto the Award Winners:

*New Business of the Year: Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting, owned by Shane Hollas.


*Small Business of the Year: Charlie's Old Fashioned Burgers - Royse City, owned by Heather Grupido

*Ambassador of the Year: Aaron Withrow with Docs Roofing

*Business Champion of the Year: The Royse City Community Development Corporation. Board members Dena Childs Elder and Bobby Gladu accepted the award on behalf of the CDC.

*Chairman's Award: Bret Wilson chose both Ashlee Burke and Vanessa Stahl, the two pillars of the Royse City Chamber, for this award.

*The David Magness Servant's Heart Award: His wife Shirley and daughter Rebecca, accepted the award from Judge David Sweet on behalf of a true public servant, David Magness. The award has now been renamed from Servant's Heart Award to honor this great man.

*Hometown Heroes: Texas Health Hospital Rockwall (Melanie Mayfield), and Hunt Regional Healthcare (Rose Hayden).

*Business of the Year: Royse City ISD. Kevin Worthy, Adi Attaway Bryant, and the rest of the team present accepted this award on behalf of the 1,000+ faculty members and employees who served over 7,000 students!

Each of these businesses adapted and persevered during Covid and emerged stronger for their efforts. Congrats to all!

This would not be complete without thanking some amazing board members that are now rolling off the board. Both, Ashlee Wilburn with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation and Melanie Mayfield with Texas health Hospital of Rockwall were strong members of the board. We are so thankful for all of the work and support they have put in over the years. We were a better Chamber having both of you amazing ladies in our corner. Thanks again for all you have done!
Both of your hearts are truly as Big as Texas!!

A Big Thank You to Bret Wilson for your many years of service on the Royse City Chamber Board. You have been a wealth of knowledge and information. Both Vanessa and Ashlee are so grateful for you guidance you have given to us over this past year.
