'Tis the Season for our annual HOVC Scout Shop Holiday Celebration Sale Spectacular! Each week through December, we'll offer up great sales on Scouting staples that will help you wrap up your holiday shopping! Coming up, get 20% off all camping gear from December 11th to the 16th! As you lay wreaths in memory of our veterans this year, as an individual or with your unit in observance of Wreaths Across America on December 16th, consider recognizing our nation’s Purple Heart recipients. The Virginia War Memorial has developed an augmented reality app (think Pokémon Go!) that allows users to deploy an AR Purple Heart at a graveside. As you acknowledge their sacrifice, their family will be notified.
It’s Pinewood Derby (planning) time! This annual race is a highlight of the Cub Scout year. In this episode of Cub Chat Live, they'll discuss ideas and tips to help you put on a Pinewood Derby that’s fun for everyone. Watch it live on Facebook today, December 8th, at 3pm! Don't forget to visit our Scout Shop at 8090 Villa Park Drive in Henrico to pick up your own Pinewood Derby car kit and accessories!
