MESSAGE FROM DAVE NABER, BUSINESS MANAGER

Greetings from the Business Office and hope that Lent has started out well for everyone.

When I begin to think about Lent, of course I think about what I should give up this year. I'm giving up doughnuts once again, probably for the 4th year in a row. Lent also begins our Fish Fry Fridays here at St. Patrick! I have been to many fish frys around the city of Louisville and beyond, and I don't think you will find a better one than what we have at St. Patrick. There are so many options to choose from: fried fish, baked fish, Jet's pizza, onion rings (my favorite), two types of soups and many others. Please remember that we only have five fish frys this year and the last one is March 15, so come on out this Friday starting at 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. I want to give a special shout out to our Concessions Ministry for all that they do to make our fish frys run smoothly. Some of the folks that continue to go above and beyond each year are John Coons, Robbie Blake, Bryan Walters, Joe Bishop, Chip Kirwan, Tom Reynolds, and many, many more good and faithful servants. We truly appreciate all of the hard work that goes into our award winning fish frys!

Have a fantastic week!

Dave

Staff Spotlight

Dave Naber, Business Manager

What is something people do not know about you?

I once drove a race car 170 miles per hour at Kentucky Speedway. Also, I am the first person in my family to obtain a college degree.

What is your favorite scripture or prayer and why?

Matthew 25:23 "Well done my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities." Everything that I do here at St. Patrick keeps this scripture in mind. I consider it my mission to be a good and faithful servant to St. Patrick Catholic Church and School. Some days I feel that I accomplish this and some days I feel like I am not quite there. But I go back to this scripture often.

What do you love most about your ministry/serving at St. Patrick?

I really enjoy being part of a vibrant Catholic Church and school. I love seeing parishioners and students succeed here and utilize St. Patrick as a foundation for successful current and future lives.

Silent Auction/Raffles

Fielding the Future

Our Celtic Athletic Ministry (CAM) and Concession Ministry are teaming up during the Lenten Fish Fry season to help raise funds to purchase a new walk-in freezer that serves many events and activities around campus. In addition, funds raised will help offset the cost of sporting equipment for student athletes and keep sports registration at an affordable rate for families. Check out the auction items and raffles on the link. Drawing for raffles ends on March 15.
