Spring Sports Forms:

Reminder: If your student plans to participate in spring sports, please make sure a physical and concussion form has been completed within the last 12 months. Forms can be found on our school website and turned into the front office once completed.

OCCS Spring Book Fair is Open!

Exciting news! Our Spring Book Fair is now open, and we invite you to embark on a literary adventure with us. Job openings for 2024-25 school year:

OCCS is looking to fill a few positions for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants should send a resume and completed application to the office or you may email it to Jason Alons, jalons@orangecitychristian.net.


Open Positions:

  • Kitchen Manager (part time)- tasks include managing a team of cooks, ordering food, creating menus, completing paperwork, organizing trainings, etc to provide well-rounded delicious meals for our students.
  • Director of Learning - Full time administration role with tasks that could include working with a curriculum team to choose and implement curriculum school-wide, reporting to the education committee, overseeing student discipline, supporting behavior plans for students, observing, supporting, and growing teachers, organizing and finding substitutes, and other administrative tasks creating a positive learning environment at our school.
  • Possible full-time elementary teacher position - Grade level could be 1st through 4th grade. 
  • Paraprofessionals - supporting the teachers, students, and classes at our school. Possible openings at multiple grade levels.
  • PE Teacher - Full-time PE teacher for grades K-8
  • Custodians - Full time and a part-time custodian

Heartland Sponsored Event - Roger Erdvig:

Heartland Christian Schools invites you to attend, "An Evening with Roger Erdivig" on Thursday, March 7 from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at Dordt University. Dr. Roger Erdvig is an author, speaker, and scholar who finds his greatest joy in helping to develop emerging leaders. His book titled, Beyond Biblical Integration, has been used in many Christian schools as a workbook and guide to challenge, encourage, and strengthen biblical integration. Dr. Erdvig will share his insights on Biblical integration at Dordt University in the science building, room SB1606, next to the Big Steps, or "Jacob's Ladder."  Christian Educators, Parents, and Students are invited to attend free of charge!
