Many early childhood educators are likely to encounter young children who have experienced trauma, and her role will be to assist early childhood classrooms in supporting a trauma-sensitive environment for teachers and children. In our September PD Update, Joint Initiatives/Alliance for Kids announced Nicole Furlan will be serving our community as an Early Childhood Career Navigator. She comes with a lot of experience in the Early Childhood Education field, and her role will be to provide professional support, technical assistance, and motivation/encouragement. She will connect current professionals and those seeking to enter the field to educational opportunities, early childhood resources, tools, and training that prepare them to be a successful team member of the early childhood workforce.
