TLC Family Town Hall
Topic: TLC COVID Guidelines and Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
Thursday, February 17
6:30 PM
We recognize that our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) was paused in order to create an intentional strategy which aligned with TLC’s mission, as well as to allow for new staff and families to become better oriented with our organization. We believe now is the right time to reintroduce our community to our Council and form new collaborative partnerships.

The purpose of our PAC is to share ideas, feedback, and support for our students, our schools, and our programs.

On Thursday, February 17th, immediately following our Family Town Hall about our COVID protocols, we welcome any family or caregiver to stay and discuss the future of the PAC.

We look forward to working with you!
National School Counseling Week
Four school counselors standing outside. All are wearing face masks.
This week we celebrated National School Counseling Week! National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. The 2022 theme is School Counseling: Better Together.

Support looks different for each of our students, and our incredible counselors do a wonderful job ensuring each child has an individualized, structured and accessible support plan.

Please help us by saying THANK YOU to our school counselors!
Random Acts of Kindness Week
This year, February 13-19 is National Random Acts of Kindness Week - dedicated to kindness and taking that extra, conscious step to brighten somebody's day.

The theme/color this year is RAINBOW and we are encouraging our students (and staff!) to wear an article clothing or favorite accessory:

Monday: Orange
Tuesday: Yellow/BE YOU!
Wednesday: Green
Thursday: Blue
Friday: Purple

There will also be giveaways, stories and activities!

Calling Deaf Artists and Sculptors
Deadline Extended to February 28th!

The Framingham Centre Common Cultural District (FCCCD) is seeking proposals for local Artists to participate in their upcoming “Many Cultures, One Heart” public art project.

“Many Cultures, One Heart" is a public art project designed to celebrate cultures and ethnicities through a series of heart sculptures placed around the city of Framingham.

TLC is honored to be featured as one sculpture in this project. We would like to thank Advocates, who is sponsoring our design, in recognition of our long time partnership and advocacy for the Deaf community in Framingham and the broader MetroWest community.

We are hoping to reach out to the broader Deaf community by sharing this message. We would love to find a Deaf artist who would be interested in this project to inspire our community with a special design that captures TLC’s mission, history and values. The Deadline to submit your proposal is February 15.
