Happy Valentine's Week (February 7-14)
There is no better date than a book and a movie.
Come to the library at lunchtime (11:50 am to 12:30 pm) on February 7-14 to watch a romantic movie with us. Food will be allowed in the library this week during movie time.
We will also have a display with romantic books that became movies.

24/7 Paper Drop-Off Service
Are you struggling on your paper? We can help! The Academic Support Center is offering free, 24/7 paper review drop-off through the Tutor-com service in Moodle.
Click on the Tutor-com link in your Moodle course, click the "Submit a Paper for Review" tab on the top, and upload your paper. The reviewed paper will be returned to your SCC email within 12 hours. As always, live writing help is available in person at the Writing Lab (R-209) or in the Online Writing Lab Team during normal business hours or through the Tutor-com link in Moodle (24/7).
Students may make unlimited use of the paper drop-off service for the rest of the semester! Contact the Academic Support Center for more information.

Tech Tip: How to Submit File for an Assignment in Moodle
Make sure you know what file formats your instructor will accept (.pdf and .doc are usually preferred).
- Go to the submission page for the assignment.
- Click the Add Submission button.
- Click the file upload icon to browse and locate the file or you can drag and drop the file into the submission box.
- Click “Submit Assignment” or the instructor will not be able to view your submission.
- Once you’ve uploaded the document, you might need to confirm the submission and save changes.
- Submit assignments on time. Instructors can close assignments at deadlines. Check your syllabus for your instructor’s late submission policy.

Spring Payment Plan Available for Mid-Term
Surry Community College's Spring Payment Plan for mid-term courses will open on Feb. 18 and close on March 14 at 6 p.m. Half of the tuition is due at enrollment with the other half due in April.
