This year at VBS kids will discover that they can trust Jesus. Life is rocky for kids - full of ups and downs and twists and turns. At Rocky Railway, kids will explore Jesus' power and learn how we can trust Jesus to pull us through when life feels like a valley or a mountaintop. Kids will deepen their friendship with Jesus and leave knowing they can trust him to do big things in their lives.

WHAT TO EXPECT
  • In-person VBS for children currently in kindergarten through 5th grade.
  • Limited space is available, and reservations will be required.
  • Masks will be required inside the building for everyone 3 years and older.
  • Temperatures will be taken for all those entering the building: staff, volunteers, and children. Only those with temp of 100° Fahrenheit or less will be allowed to enter.

GROWTH INTENSIVE:
MEETING OUR MUSLIM NEIGHBORS
WEDNESDAY | MAY 26 | 6:30 TO 8:00 PM

As Christians, we are called to extend hospitality and friendship to our neighbors and to share our faith. But how can we do it confidently and effectively? With so many different cultures and religions, it can be intimidating to even start a conversation.

Come learn from our friend Mike, a minister in Indonesia. Together we will learn about Islam, how to befriend our Muslim neighbors, and how to share our faith with them.

Click here to sign up, and let us know if you will be joining us online or in person. You will then receive a confirmation email with some suggested readings and videos that can help you prepare for our conversation.
SERVE DAY SHOUTOUT

This past Saturday, VRBC held its first-ever VRBC Serve Day, and boy, was it a great success. A huge thank-you goes out to all the VRBCers who came to lend their talents and their time to serve VRBC and our community. More than 120 volunteers participated in 7 different projects over 10 different shifts, working with each other and our local partners to serve and make a difference together.

If you missed VRBC Serve Day, don't worry! We still have plenty of ways you can get involved. Just click here and pick one of the several serve opportunities coming up this season! If you'd like to join a VRBC Serve Team and volunteer alongside other VRBCers at least once a month, just click here and sign up for the opportunity that works best for you.

If you have questions or would like help connecting to a serve opportunity, email Arthur Mendes at amendes@vrbc.net.

MISSIONARY SPOTLIGHT
MARIN HULME

Mexico City is the place Marin Hulme currently calls home and where she will be serving for the foreseeable future. In one of the largest cities in the world, Marin is living in the small artistic neighborhood of Coyoacán, serving with a Mexican ministry known as "Milamex."

Within this ministry, she has had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including teaching English and working as a manager of a hostel. Currently she is transitioning to their fitness ministry, where she will serve women with faith and fitness. The goal of the fitness ministry is to help people encounter God in their bodies and see the integral connection between our mind, bodies, and spirits. She asks for prayers for endurance, perseverance, and long-term vision, as she is planning to work with this ministry for at least 8 more years.

For a closer look at the ministry, check out her video here.
