World Kindness Day - November 13th 2021
This year we celebrated World Kindness Day in many ways. Kindness sticky notes, morning announcements, how will you Stick To Kindness lunch tables, STK guessing jars, social media posts, my hand in a World of Kindness at the Winter Market and more! EDGE Club members and advisors love celebrating this day as it is a way to celebrate kindness today and every day.
How will you Stick To Kindness this year?
Between legalization, increased normalization in pop culture and new ways of using (edibles, vaporizers, concentrates), it’s becoming more and more complicated to know how to address marijuana use with your kids.

Remember marijuana use for youth will always be illegal and harmful for anyone with a developing brain.

The more youth are exposed to marketing, retail locations, and growing locations the more they are at risk for developing a cannabis use disorder.
Boycott Blackout Wednesday and ditch Danksgiving to prevent alcohol and drug-impaired driving this Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately, excessive alcohol and drug intoxication are increasingly rampant over Thanksgiving due to events like "Blackout Wednesday" and "Danksgiving" that highlight and even encourage the heavy consumption of alcohol and marijuana throughout the holiday weekend.
Impaired driving in any form is dangerous and illegal in all fifty states, and never worth the risk. From 2013 to 2017, more than 800 people died in alcohol-impaired driving crashes during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, making it the deadliest holiday on our roadways. So, this year say "No thanks" to impaired driving and remember: Buzzed driving is drunk driving and if you feel different, you drive different.
Yoga On The Lawn

Thank you to all that attended!

A big thank you to Lyman Orchards and Sol Yoga Ct for sponsoring our awesome welcoming table at the November Yoga Class!

Talk with your children about substance use.

Explain why using drugs and drinking alcohol can hurt their health, their friends and family, and their future. Kids who learn about the dangers of drug and alcohol use early and often are much less likely to develop addiction than those who do not receive these critical messages at home.
