We will have our main program 30 minutes before Maghrib every day, the Overview of the Juz of the Day.

Ramadan Prayer Times

Taraweeh

(after Isha'a)


The first Taraweeh will be the night of Friday, April 1st. We will pray 8 Rakat followed with Witr and then resume praying another 12 Rakat Taraweeh for those wishing to pray 20. The recitation in the Taraweeh will cover the first half of each Juz every day, and we ask that individuals recite the second half if they wish to finish the entire Quran in Ramadan.  


There will be a 5 minute nightly talk during the break in Taraweeh prayer focused on Issues Related to Muslims in the West.

Tahajud


We will be praying Tahajud at 3:15 AM each day for the last ten days followed by Suhoor beginning on Thursday, April 21st.

May the month of Ramadan reach us all in good health and spirit. 


The first day of Ramadan 1443 will be Saturday, April 2nd 2022. For the method used for determining the start of Ramadan, please see the following link.

ICN is seeking a part-time Program and Event Coordinator (10-20 hours/week) and a part-time Communications and Social Media Coordinator (8-10 hours/week). 


  • Salary & schedule: $13-$16 per hour depending upon experience. Flexible work times. 
  • Candidates with qualifications and experiences that fit both job descriptions may be considered for a full time 30-40 hours per week position.

Venture Capital Halal Investment Discussion on March 18th


Thank you to Br. Amr El Husseini for his informative presentation on venture capital investment. He discussed many items such as what is venture capital, it's spike in growth, and outlook. He also answered several questions such as what makes it permissible in Islam, how to prevent fraud, and typical minimum investment. We look forward to the next discussion in the Halal Investing series!

ICN Hosted L'evate Leadership on March 22nd


We enjoyed hosting L'evate leadership (Leadership Donelson-Hermitage) during their Faith Day, and providing a presentation on Islam, Culture & Diversity-Understanding Your Muslim Neighbors in Nashville, and a tour of the mosque.

Every year at ICN, we welcome guests from across the city (neighbors, non-profits, government officials, fitness, educators, places of worship, etc.) to share an iftar dinner and break our fast, preceded by a one-hour presentation on Islam, Culture & Diversity - Understanding Your Muslim Neighbors in Nashville to build bridges of understanding.


This year we are going back to hosting 6 Ramadan Class & Dinner Fellowship programs with an opportunity for other faith groups to learn more about their Muslim neighbors in Nashville, some of the common misconceptions, and ask questions.


We will be hosting at both of our centers: 12South (2515 12th Ave S) & Bellevue Mosque (7337 Charlotte Pk) 


  • 12South: Tues. Apr. 5; Wed. April 13; Thurs. April 21; Sun April 24
  • ICN Bellevue: Sun April 10; Mon. April 18


The in person attendance will be limited to 40 people so please make sure to RSVP.


A Ramadan Iftar/ Dinner will be provided.


The program will run from 6 - 7:15 pm, followed by iftar dinner.

Zakat Ul-Fitr

Zakat ul Fitr is $12 minimum per family member. Instructions on how to pay will provided when Ramadan begins.


Zakat ul Fitr can be paid anytime during the month of Ramadan. We encourage everyone to pay early so that there is enough time to distribute to those in need.
