Hello Dr. Citrino,
Today, the SSVMS Board of Directors unanimously endorsed a No on Measure C vote on the City of Sacramento's March 5th ballot.
Measure C would increase the taxes on licensed professionals practicing within the City of Sacramento. Currently, those taxes start at $75 per physician and can go up to $300 per physician depending on how long the practice has been operating. Measure C would increase that to $684 per physician - an increase of up to 812%.
Such an elevated and immediate tax hike, coupled with increased fees from the Medical Board of California, a devastating healthcare worker shortage, and no opportunity to provide necessary input on this Measure, left us with no choice but to oppose Measure C.
If you're registered to vote in the City of Sacramento, you may have already received your ballot in the mail. SSVMS highly encourages you to vote NO on Measure C.
Let's stand together to safeguard the viability of our physician practices.

President, SSVMS
