Where Low Country Meet High Caliber

The Museum would like to extend our gratitude to all of our sponsors, SEALs, and supporters who made the 2022 Heroes on The Bluff event special and successful. Our team traveled to Bluffton, South Carolina March 12 and 13. We are especially grateful for our host committee who championed this event: John and Diane Hopper, Pete and Mary Cawley, Jeff and Shannon Begola, Matt and Kris Kovalcik, Ryan and Ashley McCalley.

Many thanks to all who participated in the Online Auction, as well. Your charitable giving directly serves families of our Trident House Charities Program.

We look forward to spring in South Carolina again next year.

History Happening Now

Recommissioning History

The Museum is currently refurbishing a UH-1B Huey helicopter to be included in the Museum’s collections. This original Huey was flown by Seawolves during the Vietnam War.

In 1972 when the aircraft was turned in upon disbanding of HAL-3 Seawolves, the crew scratched their names, dates, Detachment numbers, and other messages on the doorposts. With your help, this Huey will become a part of the Museum's permanent collection.

Pat Rodgers, CEO of Aircraft Restoration Services, continues to keep us informed of restoration progress. Recently, he picked up the tail boom and other major components.

“Didn't have to look very long before I was able to positively ID the aircraft serial number! She is Army serial number 63-12930. I am still researching what the 3-digit Seawolf number is. I have also gotten the aircraft logbook and records. [Here are] some of the letters and things that went with it upon deactivation of HAL-3, and when a helo was turned back into the Army. I also attached some photos of some of the graffiti scratched into the right-side door post. Absolute proof of her Seawolf lineage! I'll let you know when I find out what the 3-digit Seawolf number is.”

Your donation will bring a precious piece of history to our historic collection.

Teaming Up to Drive Out Veteran Suicide

Every day in America, 22 veterans lose their battle to post traumatic stress. That number translates to one veteran committing suicide every 65 minutes.

22 veterans a day take their lives as a direct result of what they have endured in service to our country. This number is ever increasing as research and treatments are not accessible.

Tribute 22 was created to help raise awareness about this escalating crisis. Tribute 22’s advocacy action network helps to provide a lifeline to our honored military veterans through a dynamic team of dedicated volunteers, donors, supporters, and friends. This includes you.
