Board of Supervisors To Meet Tuesday
The public is invited to attend the Derry Township Board of Supervisors Meeting on Tuesday, April 12th at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will be held in person at the Derry Township Administration Building

PPL Surveying
Some residents received a letter from PPL regarding a project that PPL will soon begin surveying an electric transmission line that runs through Derry Township. This project is necessary to improve electric throughout the region and is part of our ongoing effort to be among the most reliable electric companies in the nation. Derry Township Approves New Waste
& Recycling Contract
As we noted in our previous Enews editions, starting April 1, 2022 residents will see an increase in their monthly fees for the collection of solid waste and recyclable materials from their homes. Click this link for more information.
Road Closure -
Waltonville Road - between Wood Rd & Rt. 322
Beginning mid-March, the section of Waltonville Road between Wood Road and Route 322 will close for the construction of a roundabout.

Offering Help to Residents with Special Needs
The Derry Township Police Department has enabled a new feature on our Crimewatch page for parents and guardians to register individuals identified with special needs to help our department and other first responders, assist them in times of need.

Gentle Yoga
Tuesdays 6-7 pm

Gentle Yoga class is the perfect class to begin your yoga experience. You will learn the alignment of each pose, ways to modify it to suit your physical needs, and how your breath is a tool for your practice. Yoga has many benefits such as increasing mobility, strength, focus, balance, and has been known to help reduce anxiety and stress.

36th Annual Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 9th, 2022

Derry Township Parks & Recreation will be holding its 36th Annual Egg Hunt at Shank Park. The Easter Bunny will be at the hunt from 10:00 -11:00 am. The event will take place Rain or Shine! Mennonite Children's Choir

Mennonite Children’s Choir of Lancaster will present its spring concert in the Sanctuary at Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 East Derry Road, Hershey.
The concert is part of the church’s 2021-22 Arts Alive cultural series. A free-will offering will be received. Handicapped parking and an elevator are available. Face masks for audience members are optional.

Derry Township Community Cats (DTCC)

Derry Township Community Cats provides trap, neuter, vaccinate and return services for township residents assisting free roaming cats in our community. The next clinic is April 12. Reservations can be made by leaving a message on the 'cat line' at 717-592-8087. DTCC also helps with low cost spay/neuter for owned cats in Derry Township. Fishburn Church - Food Truck Fest

Food Truck Fridays are back for 2022! Spring Creek Church of the Brethren is excited to welcome back Food Truck Fridays on the 4th Friday of the month on 4/22, 5/27, 6/24, 7/22, and 8/26 from
5 - 8 PM in the church parking lot located at the end of Areba Avenue, Hershey (335 East Areba), rain or shine. The event is free and open to the public -- just pay as you eat! On Friday, April 22, purchase from a variety of food trucks including Mac's Pit Stop, Chubby Unicorn, Here We Dough, Sweet Patch, 717 Taco, Cheesy Grill, as well as Maple Street Barkery with doggie treats for four-legged friends! Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Enjoy delicious food while supporting local businesses. Fishburn Church - Food Truck Fest

Food Trucks, Bounce Houses, and Live Music. Drop-in for lunch or dinner and enjoy entertainment for the kids. Smooth Like Clyde, the #1 cover band in Central Pa, will provide music from 3:00-6:00 pm. prohibited. It shall be unlawful to park or store boats (loaded or unloaded on trailers) or trailers, defined as a vehicle designed to be towed by a motor vehicle including, but not limited
to, recreational vehicles, house trailers, and boat trailers, upon any of the streets or highways within the Township of Derry.
