Church,

This week, as we move toward the vote on Sunday, I would invite you to remain in constant prayer for the missions and ministries at this church. Below you will find the official announcement regarding this Sunday's vote. Please make note that the doors to the sanctuary will open promptly at 2 pm for you to register. I pray that you will be present in worship on Sunday morning, as we continue in our sermon series on Mark on this third Sunday of Lent.

Clinton First United Methodist Church will hold a special called church conference on Sunday, March 3, 2024, for the sole purpose of considering a closure resolution as presented by the governance board of the church. The meeting will be held at the church in the sanctuary. It will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. All those voting must be full members of the congregation and must be present at the time the votes are cast. The voting will be done by secret ballot supplied by the presiding elder of the conference. The vote must be at least 66 2/3% of those present and voting to be approved. No other business will be conducted at this conference.

DONATIONS NEEDED

The Easter egg hunt is only one month away! We need your help with donations of stuffed plastic eggs. The eggs can be stuffed with candy or trinkets. Please drop off in the church office or in one of the bins located throughout the church.

LENTEN LUNCHES

This Lenten season we hope you’ll join us for our weekly Lenten lunches from 12-1 pm in the gym. Each week, the circles of Clinton First host by providing the table decorations and desserts. We hope you’ll join us for a brown bag lunch from home or from your favorite Clinton restaurant as we enjoy the teaching from some incredible speakers.

MINISTRY MOMENT

The weekday preschool children got to see the fire truck and learn about fire safety. The fireman dressed in full turn out gear so they would know not to be afraid. They also learned, "Stop, drop, and roll," and "Get low and go."
