We wanted to let you know that improvements to C Street SW are tentatively scheduled to start Monday, April 19. Below is a summary of what you can anticipate during construction.
Traffic Impacts
C Street will be closed to thru-traffic while work is underway, but access will remain open to property owners and to Tanager Place. The closure area will progress in sections, with lane reductions in effect near the worksite.
Below are area-specific impacts:

Bowling Street to south of 22nd Avenue: Full closure required. Access to 22nd Avenue will be maintained.

Wilson Avenue / C Street Intersection: Full closure required. Access to Tanager Place will be maintained.

Wilson Avenue to Handley Drive: When crews get to this section, traffic will become one-way, northbound only in this area.

Cross-Streets: At times, side streets going east-west will be closed at the C Street intersection while construction proceeds.

Driveways: Driveway access will be temporarily restricted while work is taking place in front of your home. The contractor will provide temporary on-street parking during this interruption.
